This volume is an illustrated catalogue of the National Portrait Gallery. The Gallery was founded in 1856 and this catalogue follows a historical and chronological arrangement of the portraits as they were actually exhibited in the galleries at the time.
Extensively illustrated with the portraits from the gallery throughout both volumes with over one thousand illustrations.
Collated, complete.
Condition
In full cloth binding. Externally, excellent with some light bumping to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages.
