What Our Customers Say...

Description

Very Scarce

Two volumes of a 19th century archive of more than 1300 copy letters written by a senior London and North Western Railway Official, John Partington. The correspondence covers the year 1873-1892 in the first volume and 1892-1901 in the second.

With alphabetised organisers to the front of each volume and 997 pages of letters to volume one and 334 of 1000 pages filled out the second volume. Most of the letters are hand written with some typed letters. Some of the letters correspond to pay enquiries and money, complaints and other issues around the railway.

A unique and interesting insight into the history of the London and North Western Railway.
