Description

First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding

Lang was a pioneer in his field as he used such a wide variety of sources. Many of these tales made their first appearance in the English language due to Lang's translation. Collated, complete. The Grey Fairy Book contains thirty-five stories from oral traditions, as well as French, German and Italian collections. Tales include 'Donkey Skin', 'The Goat-Faced Girl', 'The Bear', 'The Dog and the Sparrow', 'The Twin Brothers', 'Prunella' and 'The Street Musicians'.
