With a total of fifty-three photographic images on plates, taken by the author herself. Collated, complete.

Gertrude Jekyll was a British horticulturist, garden designer, photographer, writer and artist who created over four-hundred gardens, and wrote over one-thousand articles on the subjects of gardens.

Jekyll writes in detail about her love of her own garden. She includes thoughts about her own home and its decoration, and gives tips on flower arranging, and on making pot-pourri from one's own flowers.

Condition

In a half morocco signed binding, with marbled paper covered boards. Fading to back strip, with a touch of rubbing to back strip head and tail and joints. Boards bright. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright.
