First edition. Illustrated with a frontispiece, and seven plates. Collated, complete. A collection of exciting hunting reminiscences, recounting thirty years of the author's sporting visits to his brother-in-law, in Poltalloch in Argyll. Written by Alfred Erskine Gathorne-Hardy, a British Conservative Member of Parliament. Illustrated by Archibald Thorburn, a Scottish artist who specialised in wildlife watercolours.
Condition
In the original full brown cloth binding. Externally, smart with light shelf wear and rubbing to the extremities. Fading to the spine and the top of the rear board. The odd mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd spot and light age toning to the endpapers.
