Complete three volume set from Routledge's 'Illustrated Shakespeare' series. 

Bound in a full-calf prize binding for Dulwich College by Relfe Brothers. 

Illustrated with a frontispiece of William Shakespeare to each of the volumes. 

This is a lovely leatherbound collection of William Shakespeare's works, which contains some of his most popular tragedies and plays. 

Vol I contains works like 'The Tempest, Two Gentlemen of Verona', 'The comedy of Errors', and 'A Midsummer-Night's Dream'. 

Vol II contains 'King Richard II', 'King Henry V', 'Romeo and Juliet', as well as other theatrical works. 

Vol III contains plays such as  'Macbeth', 'Hamlet', 'Venus and Adonis', as well as numerous sonnets, verses, and songs. 

William Shakespeare (1564-1616), also known as the 'Bard of Avon' is one of the best known writers in the English language. He is responsible for a range of works including 'Romeo and Juliet', 'Othello', as well as some of the best sonnets in the English language.

Edited by Charles Knight (1791-1873), an English publisher, editor, and author. 

With an illustrated prize bookplate to the front pastedown of Vol I, awarded to A. W. J. Dowthwaite for 'English Literature- Juniors' on Easter 1904. 

Collated, complete.

Bound in a full-calf prize binding. Externally, excellent, with minimal wear and the odd mark. Prize bookplate to the front paste down of Vol I. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout, with very light age-toning to margins of text.
