A forecast and an exercise in prophecy from the year 1763, in which the author attempts to predict the state of the world during the reign of George VI in the presumed years of 1900 to 1925. With chapters on the accession and first acts of George VI, a war with Russia, war with France, the development of the Royal Academies, foreign affairs, naval victories, parliamentary issues, the relationship with American colonies, and more.

Condition

In the original red cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing to the extremities and the odd small mark to the boards. Fading to the spine and board edges. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot. Light age toning to the endpapers.
