This work examines the city of Cairo, its museums, hotels, bazaars, and mosques, the excursions from the city such as to Heliopolis, Giza and Memphis, the Nile and its monuments, the political and antiquarian history, including recent archaeology.

Written by traveller and author Eustace Reynolds-Ball.

With advertisements bound to the rear of the work, as well as to the endpapers and pastedowns. 

Illustrated with three folding maps, including one in the pocket at the rear of the work, which is only half extant unfortunately. Collated, complete. 

The seventh edition of this work, revised and to date.

Condition

In the publisher's original full cloth binding. Externally generally smart; spine is a little faded, with bumping to the head and tail. Internally, binding is a little tender, with the hinges strained and exposed but remaining firm. Pages are occasionally a touch spotted.
