Some Colonial Homesteads was first published in 1897, with this being a reprinted copy. The stories collected from the Colonial Homesteads were collected by Marion Harland from visits to the historical sites.
More Colonial Homesteads and Their Stories is a first edition copy and considers the homesteads of Johnson Hall, New York, The Stockton Homestead, Princeton and Doughoregan Manor: The Carroll Homestead Maryland.
Both volumes are richly illustrated throughout.
With two pages of publisher adverts to the rear of both volumes.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth binding. Both are very smart with some fading to the spines and bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Internally, both are firmly bound with bright and clean pages. Some pages remain unopened to Some Colonial Homesteads.
