What Our Customers Say...

Description

First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding

Illustrated, with a frontispiece and thirty-two plates.

The folding map is lacking and is here provided in facsimile.

To the preface de Windt notes that he intended this work to be about travelling from New York to Paris by land, however that plan never came to fruition. Instead 'my cloud, however, has its silver lining, seeing that the first part of our voyage lay through a region then known by name to perhaps a dozen white men, but now a byworth throughout the civilised world: Klondike'.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, very smart. Minor bumping to the head and tail of spine. Light rubbing to the joints and fading to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with just the odd spots.
