Alfred Erskine Gathorne-Hardy was a British Conservative politician and author who was also a astute naturalist and keen fisherman. This work belongs to the Fur Feather and Fin series and provides valuable information on salmon, with specific chapters offering overview of their natural history as well as guidance on how to fish and cook them.

Condition

In the original publisher's full cloth binding. Externally, smart with some minor handling marks and marginal discolouration of the cloth to the spine as a result of age. Slight bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Jarrolds & Sons Ltd embossed mark to the front free endpaper. Internally, binding is a touch strained towards the front of the work. Pages are generally bright and clean with light age toning and a few small handling marks to the half title page.
