An excellent copy of The Cosmopolitan, an illustrated monthly magazine containing short stories from various prominent authors of the time.
This particular issue was Volume XXVI, published in December 1898.
Comprised of twenty short stories or poems written by fourteen different authors, including Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's 'Autobiography of Napoleon Bonaparte', Alice Nielsen's 'A Woman's Hand', Grant Allen's 'The Wood of Thin Red Threads', and many more.
Wonderfully illustrated throughout, with contributions from various different artists including H. Pruett Share, F. G. Atwood and B. West Clinedinst.
With the original advertisements to the front and rear, comprised of twenty-eight pages to the front, and eighty to the rear.
Condition
Bound in the publisher's original bright wraps. Externally, very smart, with light edge wear and a few small tears to the tail of the spine. Wraps are a touch age toned, with the odd light mark. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean, with a little age toning to endpapers.
