What Our Customers Say...

Description

Colour Plates, First Edition, Illustrated, Leather Binding, Scarce

First edition with calf binding of Myrtis Et Korina, by William Ritter with illustrations by A. Calbet.

The story is titled after Ancient Greek poets, Myrtis of Anthendon and Corinna (or Korinna). However, the story appears to be set in a mythical setting, beginning with a depiction of a centaur.

William Ritter was a Swiss novelist, critic and painter. He was known by his countless works and has been called a graphomaniac, someone who cannot stop writing.

This first edition contains colour illustrations throughout the text and a ribbon bookmark.

Gold engravings to the front board and spine.

Condition

In calf binding. Externally, smart. There is some rubbing to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. There is some marking to the front board. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean.
