Author's presentation copy, with 'With the Author's fraternal regards' to the recto to the front endpaper. A very scarce work. A concise history of the Royal Arch Masonry at Whitby.The work looks from 1782 to the publication of this work in 1898. Illustrated with a frontispiece, three plates, and some in-text illustrations. Written by Brother Reverend Egbert Fox-Thomas, who was a Provincial Grand Chaplain. WIth an introduction by William James Hughan. Lodge library label to the tail of the spine.
Condition
In the original cloth binding. Externally, smart. A little fading to the spine and joints. A few light marks to the boards. Very minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Lodge library label to the tail of the spine. Author's inscription to the recto to the front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean with a few spots to the first and last few pages.
