A scarce third edition. In the original full cloth pictorial binding with gilt detail. With nineteen informative fold out charts. Collated complete. The top of chart ten has been neatly sliced off, but is inserted into the book. A comprehensive navigational guide to the River Thames and the English Channel with information on the Ports of Dunkerque and Calais. Written by Stephen Penney, a licensed Trinity House pilot and expert on ocean navigation. With the publisher's advertisements to the rear of the book.
Condition
In the original full cloth pictorial binding with gilt detail. Externally, very smart with some shelf wear to the edges and fraying to the spine. Some sunning to the spine. A few light marks to the boards. Some offsetting and spotting to the paste-downs and free endpapers. Internally, firmly bound. Pages slightly age-toned but bright and clear with a few scattered handling marks and creases throughout. The top of chart ten has been slices off but is inserted into the book.
