    First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding

    Twenty-third edition of 'Whist' by "Cavendish" and first edition of 'Bridge' by "Hellespont". Two pocket sized guide to popular card games with helpful diagram or potential tricks and tactics by authorities on the subject.

    In uniform variant cloth bindings. With advertising leaves to rear.

    Illustrations and titles in red and black.

    Condition

    In the original publisher's full cloth binding, gilt to edges. Externally very smart with only minor shelf wear, lightly bumped to head and tail of spine and extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Previous ownership inscription to front pastedown of 'Bridge.' Light minor spotting to odd leaf only, pages otherwise bright and clean.
