What Our Customers Say...

Description

Fine Binding, Folding Maps, Illustrated, Leather Binding

A beautifully bound twelve volume collection featuring nine works from nineteenth century American Historian Francis Parkman Jr.

Present here are: Montcalm and Wolfe; Conspiracy of Pontiac; Half Century of Conflict; Oregon Trail; La Salle and the Discovery of the Great West; Court Frontenac and New France under Louis XIV; Jesuits in North America; Pioneers of France in the New World, and The Old Regime in Canada.

Parkman was best known as the author of 'The Oregon Trail', a first person account of a two month summer tour of four American states, and his extensive study 'France and England in North America', with both of these works present in this set.

With his works still valued as historical sources, Parkman remains one of the most notable American nationalist historians, with his essay 'Some of the Reasons Against Woman Suffrage' remaining a best seller for decades.
