The first edition, limited to three hundred copies, uncommon thus. A volume exploring the rituals held at the Augustinian Priory of S. Giles and S. Andrew at Barnwell, Cambridgeshire. With a history of the priory, the Constitution of the House, structure of the hours, and more. John Willis Clark was an English academic and antiquarian.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding, with titles stamped in gilt to spine. Externally very smart with slight bumping to head and tail of spine and extremities, as well as minor shelfwear. Gilt to spine has slightly darkened. Signed by a previous owner to half title page, "E. G. Clark." Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
