The first edition in book form, first impression.

This novel was originally serialised in 1897 in 'Pearson's Weekly'.

H. G. Wells' monumental science fiction novel, following his equally popular novels 'The Time Machine' and 'The Island of Doctor Moreau'.

The titular invisible man is named in the novel as Griffin, a scientist who dedicated his research and work to find a way to make himself invisible. Though he achieves the monumental goal, he fails to find a way to reverse the procedure.

Half-title is present. 

Two pages of publisher's adverts to the rear.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, generally smart, with some light marks to the boards and spine. Very light rubbing to the boards and spine. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Spine is lightly faded. Hinges are starting but firm. Rear endpaper is almost detached. Library label to the front paste down. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are a little age-toned and clean.
