The first one volume edition. In an excellent condition. Prior owner's inscription to the title page, dated 1894 'Drl Louie'. George Gissing was a popular novelist, who wrote 23 novels over a twenty year period between 1880 and 1903. His best known novels include 'The Nether World', 'New Grub Street' and 'The Odd Woman'.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth. Externally, very smart with minor bumping to the head and tail of spine. Minor fading to the spine. Prior owner's inscription to the title page. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with just the odd spot.
