The first edition of the work. A collection of food essays, recipes, anecdotes and discussions on meals from Edward Spencer Mott who went under the name of "Nathaniel Gubbins" as an English actor, stage writer and journalist. Other works by the author include 'A Mingled Yarn', 'Bits of Turf' and 'The Flowing Bowl'.

Condition

In the original brown cloth binding. Externally, very smart with some shelf wear to the extremities only. Slight rubbing to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean with slight age toning and occasional handling marks.
