Description

First Edition, Scarce

This academic journal of Celtic studies was established in 1897, and was the first journal whose contents were exclusively based upon Celtic languages and literature; it is also the oldest important journal focusing on Celtic studies which is still in print today. It is currently published by the University of Bonn, with Jurgen Uhlich, Torsten Meissner and Bernhard Maier editors.

Written by Kuno Meyer (1858-1919), a German scholar specialising in Celtic philology, along with Ludwig Christian Stern.

In the German language.

A scarce set of first editions of the four earliest publications.

Volume I contains one plate, volume II contains two. Collated, complete.
