A first edition first impression copy of this work. 

The Tiger of Mysore A Story of The War with Tippo Saib tells the story of the struggle with Tippo Saib in India from various sources. 

George Alfred Henty was an English novelist and War Correspondent who is most known for his works of adventure fiction and historical fiction. 

With twelve illustrations including a frontispiece and two maps and a folding map. Plate facing page 313 is a little torn to the bottom. 
Collated, complete.

With thirty two pages of publisher adverts to the rear.

Condition

In the publisher's original pictorial cloth binding. Externally, worn to the boards and spine. Some bumping to the head and tail of the spine. A previous owner inscription to the front pastedown dated 1906. Front hinge starting but remains firm. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages.
