The first edition of this uncommon work in the publisher's original pictorial cloth binding. All edges gilt. George Edward Farrow (1862-1919) was a notable British children's author, best known for his novel The Wallypug of Why. This charming work is another of his popular children's nonsense books, illustrated throughout by Harry and Dorothy Furniss.
Condition
In the publisher's original pictorial cloth binding. Externally, fairly smart, with a tear to the tail of the front joint and a couple of marks to the boards. Extremities are a little bumped. Front hinge is slightly strained but is held firmly. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with the occasional spot.
