George Louis Palmella Busson du Maurier, 1834 – 1896, was a French-born British cartoonist and author. The Martian is du Maurier's third work. Shallcross Fitzherbert Jacson was the nephew of Samuel Edward Widdrington (1787–1856) the writer on Spain. He inherited his estates and name.
