The scarce first edition. In the original full vellum binding with pictorial gilt detail. With a frontispiece, ten full-page plates and numerous vignette illustrations. Collated complete. The frontispiece is loose but present. An illustrated songbook regarding life at Sedbergh School. Song titles featured include, 'The Long Run', 'Holiday Song', Sedbergh in Summer', 'Cricket Song', and more. Sedbergh School is an English public school and boarding school in Cumbria. It was established in 1525, and maintains its own unique traditions, as is common for English public schools. Written and illustrated by the nineteenth century painter, Ralph St. John Ainslie. The illustrated half title page is present. With a bookplate for one, 'Egerton Parker', to the front paste-down.
