A scarce collection of animal stories with advice on pet care by the Rev. Theodore Wood, known for his naturalist works for children. With papers that appeared previously at irregular intervals in 'The Church Monthly.' There are only five institutional copies of this work, dated from copies held on Jisc.
With lovely engravings in text.
Condition
In the original publisher's red cloth binding with decorative gilt to front board. Externally sound with some shelf wear, lightly soiled to boards and spine, spine and boards slightly bumped to extremities. Previous ownership ink inscription to front blank page, 'Edith and Eunice Reed' dated '19091, or 1908.' Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean.
