This work was issued as a part of Osgood's 'Wessex Novels'. Osgood's edition was the first uniform and complete edition of Hardy's works, with the text of each volume being carefully revised. 

A bright copy of this important novel.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, very smart. Just some light bumping to the head and tail of spine. Bookplate to the front pastedown, Peter and Margery Morris. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright. Scattered spotting to the tissue guard. Otherwise, pages are clean.
