    Description

    Rebound

    Dating between December 22, 1896 and July 23, 1897. 23 catalogues in all Including an auction of A Valuable Collection of Modern Engravings of the Early English School, the property of a Gentleman Comprising Fine Proofs in Mezzotint and Colours, after Morland, Wheatley, Hoppner and Others et al, amongst others. Annotated extensively in ink throughout, possibly by auction house or a collector at a record of the auctions and with prices realised to blank margins. Numbers in crayon to some pages, possibly for pagination purposes.

    Condition

    Bound in paper wraps with title in ink to front and with date to spine. Externally, sound but with some edgewear, rubbing, handling marks and ink and ink stain. Text block detached from paper wraps. Internally, binding loose with some pages detached or almost detached. Bright and generally clean throughout but with handling marks. Age toning to half titles.
