First Edition, Illustrated, Leather Binding, Rebound

Volumes XI and XII of 'The Strand Magazine', covering the whole year of 1896. The Strand Magazine was a monthly British magazine founded by George Newnes, composed of short fiction and general interest articles. Both volumes contain many written and illustrated works by various writers and artists, including Mr. Briton Riviere, Alfred T. Story, Richard Leander, and more.

Condition

Bound handsomely in quarter calf with blue cloth covered boards. Externally, a trifle rubbed with minor shelf wear. Joints on both volumes are starting but remain firm. Internally, pages firmly bound. A few scattered spots to the first and last pages of both volumes, and the odd spot throughout. Otherwise pages bright and clean.
