The Divine Comedy, or Commedia, and Canzoniere of Dante Alighieri, an Italian poet, writer and philosopher considered one of the greatest writers in the Italian language. Translated with notes, essays, and biographical introduction from Edward Plumptre, an English divine and scholar.
Condition
In the original green cloth binding. Externally, smart with light shelf wear and rubbing to the extremities. Fading to the spine and the odd spot to the boards. A small tear to the front joint of volume one. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd spot predominantly to the first and last few pages. A few marks to the front pastedown of volume one.
