Description
Folding Maps, Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding, Very Scarce
Two volumes. Very scarce. Volume XXVIII, new series no. 6, issued July 1896 and XXIX, new series no. 8, issued January 1897 only. With a folding map to the rear of volume XXIX. The East India Association was a London based organisation for matters concerning India, their journal being published from 1867 to 1917. These pamphlets in particular contain fascinating discussions and lectures, including: Lecture on "Tinnevelly Before and After the British Conquest", Lecture on India and Africa, Election of Lord Reay ad President of the East India Association, and Lecture on "Indian Famines".
Condition
In the original paper wraps. Externally, smart with light wear and sunning to the extremities. The odd small mark to the boards of volume XXIX. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with the odd small spot or handling mark. Small creased to the page edges.
