What Our Customers Say...

Description

First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding

Arthur Wellesley, the first Duke of Wellington, was a military leader and a leading political figure who served twice as Prime Minister in nineteenth century England. The Duke of Wellington defeated Napoleon at the Battle of Waterloo during the Napoleonic Wars, which ended in 1815. His style of warfare was defensive, and he is still regarded as one of the greatest commanders of all time, with his tactics still in place at military academies worldwide.

Written by Frederick Roberts, a Victorian general and one of the most successful military commanders of his day.

Illustrated throughout with portraits and plans.
