Complete in two volumes. The first reprint of the new edition, edited by Robert Edmund Graves and Walter Armstrong. Michael Bryan was an English art historian, dealer and connoisseur. This is his most famous work, and was a standard reference work throughout the 19th century up until 1920. With five pages of the monograms of artists and engravers to the rear of volume II.
Condition
In half morocco bindings. Externally, smart with light rubbing to the boards and very slight dampstaining, Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright with the odd spot.
