What Our Customers Say...

Description

An Important Work, Early Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, Very Scarce

The very scarce second edition of American electrical engineer Thomas Crommerford Martin's comprehensive account of the early work of Nikola Tesla, with special reference to his work in polyphase currents and high potential lightning.

The first edition sold out within a month of publication, with this second edition published in the same year as the first edition. Very scarce in all early editions.

With a frontispiece portrait of Tesla, and numerous vignette illustrations and electrical plans throughout. Consisting of a biographical introduction and forty-three chapters on different areas of Tesla's research and inventions.

Martin stated that, 'no attempt whatever has been made here to emphasize the importance of his researches and discoveries', as the breadth of his talents this early in his career was evident without exaggeration.
