Written by the Sub-Dean of St. Paul's Cathedral, this work explores the history of the Cathedral and its surrounding areas. An interesting look at both the civil and religious life of the Cathedral from the 13th to 16th century.
Illustrated with a frontispiece, and four plates.
This work was published as the finale of a trilogy, following 'History of Old S. Paul's', and 'Gleaning from Old S. Paul's'.
Collated, complete.
Condition
In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Only a few minor marks to the boards and spine. Spots to the endpapers. Prior owner's ink inscription to the recto and verso of the front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
