Early edition. Illustrated with a frontispiece, a map, and over one hundred images. An appreciation of the natural beauty of Bohemia, the westernmost and largest historical region of the Czech Republic. With focus on the importance of the historic past of the area blended with the active energy and contemporary industry. Written by James Baker, a British missionary and author. Illustrated by Walter Crane, an English artist and book illustrator recognised for his children's book illustrations, and Henry Whatley, a British artist and painter.

Condition

In the original pictorial cloth binding. Externally, smart with rubbing and minor bumping to the extremities. Light fading to the spine and board edges with the odd mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with scattered spotting throughout. A 3" closed tear to the front endpaper.
