John Nevil Maskelyne was an English stage magician and inventor of many Victorian era devices. 'Sharps and Flats' was an instant hit when it was first released, and is considered a classic work on the overview of card sharp practices. First Edition.

Condition

In the original decorative cloth binding. Externally, smart with very light bumping to extremities and very light fading to the spine. Front hinge slightly strained after the endpaper, but still firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright with the odd spot and handling mark. Ink signature to half title page.
