Illustrated with eighteen full page plates. Collated, lacking the frontispiece and the plate to face p. 128 'Crest of Earl of Dunfermline,' as common in other copies. In the illustration list the plate has been corrected to indicate it to be illustrated in vignette on p. 117.
Condition
Rebound in a full cloth binding with new endpapers. Externally, lovely. With the de luxe bookplate to the front pastedown, faintly signed by the author. The title page was professionally tape repaired at its gutter. Internally, firmly bound. With some minor spotting to the first and last few leaves and some faint minor mark to the occasional page. Illustrated with eighteen full page plates. Collated, lacking the frontispiece and the plate to face p. 128 'Crest of Earl of Dunfermline,' as common in other copies. In the illustration list the plate has been corrected to indicate it to be illustrated in vignette on p. 117.
