This work looks at the history of Phoenix Lodge no 257, the Chapter of Friendship No 257 and Royal Naval Preceptory of Knights Templar. The plates are portraits of important Masonic figures, the Lodge's centenary jewels, the cypher, cypher key and facsimile signatures of members of the lodge. Collated, complete. This is number 66 in the catalogue of the library of the 'Lodge of Harmony', Fareham. With the shelf number to the spine. This lodge was first warranted in 1796 and is lodge no 309. The lodge of Harmony merged with moderns to become the United Grand Lodge of England. Bookplate for the library to the front pastedown, presented by W H Barrell.
