This work is in two sections, covering in the snaffle and in the double-reined bridle.

A scarce U.K. edition of this work. 

Illustrated with photographs throughout the text.

Written by Edward L. Anderson, the author of 'Modern Horsemanship'.

With the ownership bookplate of Sir Philip Lee Brocklehurst, a member of the Nimrod Expedition to Antarctica led by Ernest Shackleton. He was awarded the Silver Polar Medal in 1909, and was due to join Shackleton's Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition in 1914, but was deployed to Flanders instead.

Condition

In the publisher's original quarter calf binding with paper covered boards. Externally rather worn; loss tot he head of the spine, which is rubbed to the joints and the tail. Boards are discoloured. Ownership bookplate to the front pastedown. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
