The first edition, first impression of this very scarce work in the publisher's original pictorial paper wraps, lacking the rear of the wraps.
A very scarce novella, concerning a prize fighter, by Harry A. James, with fantastic illustrations throughout by Kenneth Mathiason Skeaping (1856-1946).
Fourteen pages of publisher's advertisements to the rear.
Condition
In the publisher's original pictorial paper wraps. Lacking the rear of the wraps. Externally, sound. Bright to the front of the wraps. Losses to the backstrip and to the extremities. Small amateur tape repair to the front hinge, which is otherwise firmly held. Internally, firmly bound, except for the last nine pages, which are coming loose but are held by two cords. Pages are bright and clean.
