What Our Customers Say...

Description

First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, Uncommon

First edition of The Strike at Arlingford by George Moore in the original publisher's cloth binding.

One of Moore's few plays.

An uncommon edition with only sixteen copies held in libraries.

George Moore was an Irish novelist, short story writer, and poet.

The play was produced by the Independent Theatre, and was a result of a challenge between Moore and George Robert Sims over Moore's criticisms of playwrights, the result of which being this 'unconventional' play.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. There is some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and minor bumping to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with the occasional spot.
