The first edition of this uncommon work in the publisher's original cloth binding.

An informative record of the development of the streets and buildings of Bath up until the late nineteenth century. This work was written by the antiquary Robert Edward Myhill Peach (1876-1896), who wrote many works on the history and antiquities of Bath, including Bath, Old and New and Historic Houses in Bath, and their Associations. An appendix of local delicacies, such as the Bath Bun, is included to the rear.

Four pages of advertisements to the front of the work and fifteen pages of advertisements to the rear.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, smart, with minor shelf wear to the joints and extremities. Gilt remains bright to the front board. Small tear to the cloth to the head of the rear joint. Front hinge is slightly strained but remains firmly held. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
