The book is a collection of one hundred literary sketches about rural life. It is based on Three Mile Cross in Reading, Berkshire.
With beautiful decorative gilt across the front board and spine.
Prior owner's ink inscription to the front pastedown.
Condition
In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. There is some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. There is some light wear to the gilt. The hinges are strained. Prior owner's ink inscription to the front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with the occasional spot.
