An Important Work, Illustrated, Leather Binding

A very attractive set comprising volumes of natural histories and the animal kingdom at the end of the nineteenth century. With volume I and II on Mammals, vol III on Mammal Birds, vol IV on Birds, volume V on Reptiles and Fishes, and volume VI on Insects and Molluscs. A very thorough study. 

Richard Lykker was an English naturalist, geologist, and natural history author.

With seventy-two coloured plates and sixteen-hundred engravings.

Condition

Rebound in half calf with five raised bands and marbled boards and edges. Externally very attractive, with minor shelfwear and minor rubbing. Internally, firmly bound. Minor faint scattered spotting, particularly to first and last few leaves. With seventy-two coloured plates and sixteen-hundred illustrations.
