    Description

    Early Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, Scarce

    Fourth edition of The Insect Hunter's Companion by the Rev. Joseph Greene in the original publisher's paper covered boards.

    Being instructions for collecting and preserving butterflies, moths, beetles, bees, flies, etc. 

    Revised and extended by A. B. Farn. 

    With a chapter on Coleoptera by E. Newman. 

    Illustrated throughout the text. 

    A scarce edition. Includes seven pages of advertisements to the rear.

    Condition

    In the original publisher's paper covered boards. Externally, fair. The spine is missing. There is some bumping to the extremities and prior owners ink inscription to the front board. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with some age toning and the odd spot.
