Including The Saint's Tragedy, The Weird Lady, The Longbeard's Saga and many more. Charles Kingsley was a priest, professor and social reformer, as well as a novelist. An academic Kingsley served as a proffer of Cambridge, as well as a private tutor for the Prince of Wales. His personal attitudes toward the need for social reform, his own christian faith, and his sympathies towards Darwin's 'On the Origin of Species' can all be seen in his literary works. Kingsley's most famous works include, 'The Water-Babies', 'Westward Ho!' and 'Andromeda and other Poems'.

Condition

In a half-morocco binding. Externally, sound, though with some rubbing and a few marks. Internally, generally firmly bound although slightly strained in places. Front hinge tender. Pages are bright, and quite clean, with just the occasional patch of foxing.
