    First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, Scarce

    First edition of Manual of Bowling by James Brown in the original publisher's cloth binding. 

    A very scarce work with only two copies of the first edition held in libraries. 

    The first edition, with no later edition stated. 

    This late nineteenth century guidebook to bowling includes contents such as 'History of the Game', 'Hints to Beginners', and 'Recipe for Killing Worms'. 

    Condition

    In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. There is some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Internally, generally firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with the odd spot.
