What Our Customers Say...

Description

Decorative Binding, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding

This work explores the lifestyle and nature of Japan, written by a British man who spent many years there.

Sir Edwin Arnold (1832-1904) was an English journalist and poet. His best known work is 'The Light of Asia', and his other works include 'The Song Celestial' and 'The Japanese Wife'. His works were often inspired by Buddhism. Arnold spent many years in his late life in Japan; his third wife, Tama Kurokama, was said to be the first Japanese woman to bear an English title.

Richly illustrated throughout, and in a pictorial binding.
